Our History
The firm was founded in 2010 by senior partners Ursula Barrios and Guillermo Machado, who are now a husband-and-wife lawyer team. Prior to launching this firm, Ms. Barrios and Mr. Machado each established their respective careers as highly reliable bankruptcy lawyers.
Attorney Ursula Barrios was admitted to practice law in 2008. That very year, she opened her own law practice in Los Angeles, serving nearly 500 bankruptcy clients within a year of opening. Meanwhile, Attorney Guillermo Machado was admitted in 2007 and was immediately acquired by the largest consumer bankruptcy law firm in the US. Several years of working with the best bankruptcy attorneys resulted in helping thousands of clients out of debt. In fact, Mr. Machado has never failed a single bankruptcy case in his career. In 2010, Mr. Machado joined his then-fiancée Ms. Barrios to launch Barrios & Machado Personal Injury & Accident Lawyers PC. After several years of focusing on bankruptcy law, the attorneys realized they could help more people by expanding their legal service. They started representing personal injury clients in 2016, to great success. The firm has proven effective in negotiating with insurance companies and negligent parties, forcing cases into court when informal methods prove unfruitful, all with the sole intention of obtaining maximum settlements for injured clients.
